I was today at Dacia show room and made a drive test with new logan 2. I touch it, feel it, smell it, drive it, love it :)
Let me share my impressions with you, first all good stuff and improvements compared with old logan:
- sponge between front wing and chasie. That sponge prevent air from engine department to go arround doors and evacuate between them. that air when evacuate between doors make a lot of noise. that sponge can be seen if open engine cover and if open front doors.




- engine cover is sustained with a telescope. open/close is very easy to handle


- spare wheel was moved with 30-40 cm in front, near rear seats. there remain a lot of space to deposit stuff!


- no manual open/close buton on doors. now door is clean, very good looking



- they put additional keder between doors and roof/front window. less noise becouse of that. picture is not so clear :(.but trust me,that is a very good improvement!


- on rear door they put additional keder to seal front and rear door. unfortunatly is small, only upper half of door :(


- position bulb now have 2 filament, one for position and one for DRL(daytime running lights)


- trunk is huge and becouse rear seats fold down, there is insane space



- exhoust ends under car, no hole in rear bumper :)


- all the way of exhoust pipe have alloy termic protection, from engine till back of car. something like i mounted here http://www.tutorialelogan.ro/2012/10/montat-scut-termic-esapament.html
- noise while driving was acceptable at 100km/h, above that speed noise is laud

bad impression:
- same thin metal sheet, you can bend it with finger
- front engine protection is made of plastic, our is made of metal. i guess this is not so good ideea :(

- plastic door covers... are all made of cheap plastic, no material...
- this keder is glued there, very easy to take it off


And now driving impresion. Logan was not available, but i tested new Sandero. First i was thinking "0.9L will never impress me, impossible", but never say never! That small engine is a bad ass engine! Turbo make the diffrence, especialy on urban driving. You can count on it, just push pedal and turbo will give you what you expect! Ok, not like 1.5dci engine, but don't forgot, is only a 0.9L developing 90hp, bad ass engine :)
Outstanding gearbox, first and second gear are very powerfull. on third gear you feel what that engine can do, start to accelerate from 1500rpm till 6000rpm and all the way you feel traction. forth gear is normal, fell nothing, normal acceleration. fifth gear is only for cruise, if want to overtake a car in short time, you really need to put in third gear.
i started AC, even if outside was only 12 degrees, i was courios about acceleration... i felt nothing, no diffrence! but only tested in 1, 2 and 3'th gear.
on board you are informed if you have to change one gear up or down, good for girls :D
on left of steering wheel is a ECO button, reduce consumption with 15% on cruise mode. but that option kill that power :)

that car was full equiped, 9800euro. alloy wheels, navy, very sexy metal grey color...
interiour is very ok, nice, seats are very soft and more rigid. i spent arround 1 hour near and under this car and now i remember that i did not check and test a lot of things :)
over all, i liked this car, a lot, i wish i can buy one! and modify something on it  :Smiley:

 :aplause: Na slici gde su slikana vrata sa unutrasnje strane vide se i dalje tragovi loše zavrsne obrade. Ubedjen sam da je auto fantastican, jer sam starim bio prezadovoljan i jos patim za njim.

Opet ta nedovršena plastika :ne: .Zašto i zašto :conf:.Ajd neka bude jeftina ali makar da bude lepo oblikovana i dovršena, a ne da čovek još malo iskasapi ruke... :ne: .Ali bez obzira na sve auto mi se baš dopada pogotovo stepway novi i ona nova plava metalik boja. :too:

Sjajan  izveštaj crististreulea    :aplause:   

Pitam se koliko bi bio detaljan da si samo imao više od jednog sata da provedeš razgledajući novi Logan.   

Želeo bih da prkomentarišem samo nekoliko stvari koje sam primetio u tvom izveštaju.

Prva je  - sunđer!   
Dakle, razumem da je rešenje odvođenja vode sa šoferšajbne veoma loše  u Ph I/II – kroz otvore na levoj/desnoj strani, ispod plastične rešetke iza  firewall-a, i sve dole do desnog/levog blatobrana  . Iz tog razloga se na našim automobilima nakon nekog vremena mogu naći male bašte iza blatobrana 
Pretopostavljam sa je ovim sunđerom odvođenje vode rešeno na neki drugi način i da je sunđer tu samo da bi popunio rupu (i spreči protok vazduha kao neželjeni efekat) . Da li si primetio na koji način je rešeno odvođenje vode? Kako god bilo, sumnjam da ,,sunđer rešenje" dobro vrši funkciju – kada je mokar, sunđer oteža kilogram ili dva i sporo se suši.

Druga je - horizontalna šipka iza zadnjeg sedišta postoji u Ph I/II – kao što mogu da primetim, novi Logan nema tu šipku koja u kombinaciji sa spuštenim naslonom ostavlja ,,ludi utisak"   
Ali šasija iza zadnjih sedišta (slika gepeka) izgleda isto kao i u Ph I/II, i izgleda kao da još uvek postoje rupe i reljef za postavljanje te ,,nedostajuće" šipke. Neki prijatelji ovde su se pitali da li mogu da uklone tu šipku i da u kombinaciji sa uklonjenim zadnjim sedištem dobiju odgoman dodatni prostor kao što vidimo na ovim fotografijama. Koliko ja znam, to niko nije uradio jer se brinuo da ne ošteti stabilnost cele šasije. Da li si primetio neku drugu šipku ispod automobila ili u gepeku  koja može biti ,,zamena" za staru ,,uklonjenu" šipku?

Ostalo... pa, slažem se sa tobom kako po pitanju par loših utisaka tako i po pitanju novih dobrih rešenja.

Na kraju krajeva, kao što si rekao – jedan sat nije dovoljan i nadao se da ćeš uskoro osvojiti nešto na lutriji kako bi mogao da kupiš novi L. i proučiš ga detaljno

I wonder how detailed it would be if you just had more than just one hour around new L.  :)

I would like to comment just a couple of things I noticed in your report.

First one is - spounge !  :D
Well, I understand that solution for water drainage of windscreen is very poor on Ph I/II - through holes on the left/right side, under plastic grill behind firewall, and all the way down under left/right fender. Because of that, our cars after some time, if you dont clean it regularly, can have small gardens behind fenders  :laugh1:
With this spounge I suppose that water drainage is solved somehow else, and spounge is there just to fill the hole (and prevent air circulation as side effect). Did you notice how water drainage is solved ? Anyhow, I doubt that "spounge solution" is good for that - when wet, spounges add kilo or two and dry slow.

Second is - horizontal bar behind back seat that exists in Ph I/II - as I can see, new L doesnt have that bar which in combination with folded seats gives that "insane impression"  :D
But, chasis behind rear seats (photo of trunk) looks almost the same as in Ph I/II, and it looks that there are still holes and relief for mounting that "missing" bar. Some of friends here wondered if they can remove bar and in combination with removing back seat - to get huge extra space like we see on these pictures. As I know, no one did that, being afraid not to damage stability of whole chasis. Have you noticed any other new bar, below he car or in the trunk that maybe can be "replacemet" for old "removed" bar ?

Else...well, I agree with you about that couple bad impressions, and about new good solutions.

After all, as you said - one hour is just not enough and we hope you win some lottery soon so you can buy new L. and study it thoroughly  :wink:

Zagledajući detalje na limariji (sa Kristijevih fotki) primećujem da je promenjeno dosta toga.Mislim na delove oko prednjeg amortizera i B stub.Nisam očekivao da će biti promena na nosećim delovima,izgleda da je Logan ozbiljno unapređen,a ne samo spoljni izgled.Možda na kreš-testu neće biti krivljenja A suba i možda će biti osvojena četvrta zvezdica,nezavisno od elektronskih pomagala.
Plastična,umesto metalne zaštite ispod motora mi nije problem.
Problem mi je nedostatak bočne zaštite na vratima i termometra motora.
Bez bočnih lajsni na vratima taj novi Logan će na mom parkingu svake godine morati na gitovanje i farbanje.
